Tiarra woke up on "Mother's Day" will a bunch of splotchy red bumps on her face, her torso, and back. Her daddy was devistated and I was sad because I thought because I had changed detergents that this caused this ugly red rash. Well, after waking up Monday with the rash now spread to her legs and feet; it was time for a doctor's visit.
After visiting with the doc we found out that Tiarra had a viral infection called Roseola. This viral infection started out with a fever spike of 103 for about 3 days. Once the fever broke, out came the red splotches. The doc said the splotches would clear up in about 3 days and that they were not itching or irritating her in any way and that there was nothing that we needed or could do except let the virus run it's course. OMG she looked horrible and miserable. Her lil face was swollen and she cried constantly because she wanted to be held and comforted (mommy and daddy held and comforted her as much as possible).
To all parents beware of this lil virus, it is passed during the fever stages through nasal droppings. I guess this is something that she picked up at daycare. But all is well now and my "lil momma" is back to herself; smiling, jumping and talking. That's the "Ti Ti" we know.
